MISSION STATEMENT
	Together we will “care to learn and learn to care” in a Catholic Community inspired by the Gospel Values, enabling all to realise their unique hopes and potential.
	The Gospel Values are:
	Love, Forgiveness, Reconciliation, Justice, Faith, Integrity, Humility, Service, Peace, Hope and Prayer.
	St Mary and St Joseph’s is a community where everybody matters. We aim to live each day according to the teaching of Christ – “to love one another as I have loved you”.
	Together with our families and Parish we work together to offer mutual support as a Christian Community where care, respect and consideration for others are paramount and together we work make our school a happy place.
	As pupils, parents, governors, parishioners and staff members we form a Christ–centred faith community, fostering spiritual growth, academic excellence and commitment to justice in the name of Jesus.
	It is the aim of St Mary and St Joseph’s to prepare the children to be productive members of society, to be living examples of Christian values, to be able to respond to the needs of the community and to have a global perspective of the needs of our earth.
	We will all strive to make our school a beacon of Christian witness, shining out into the community and drawing people in to experience the ‘Light of Christ’.
