Can only Catholics come to your school?
No, in fact a relatively significant proportion of our pupils are non Catholic. We have 15 places per year group. If we have some spare places we are usually able to accommodate children in line with our Admissions Policy.

Does the school have a good reputation?
Yes the school has had a longstanding reputation for high standards, academically and socially. Our results are good and we have had a number of very successful inspections. Please click here to see our ofsted and diocese inspection reports.

Can the children play sport here?
Yes we provide opportunities to participate in a range of activities run throughout the year. These include, football, netball, golf, multi-skills, drama and dance. Our curriculum PE is lead by Qualified Sports coaches in Key Stage 2. We work well with other school playing competitive sports matches. We also do orienteering, benchball, and 3 in a bucket rounders as well as athletics in the Summer Term. All are welcome to attend our Sports Day.

What about Musical Opportunities?
We have a very good school choir and a range of instrumental opportunities in school including violin, woodwind and brass tuition.

Where do the pupils go next when they leave in Y6?
It varies, some go to All Saints RC VA School in York, St Mary’s RC College in Hull, some attend Woldgate College and some gain places at Pocklington Foundation School. We have excellent links with all these schools.

Will we feel welcome?
Yes and yes again! We all work really hard to go the extra mile with our families. Every child does matter to us and we will spend as much time as possible reassuring you that we aim to work in a successful partnership with every family for the good of all our children. We operate as a large family where care and concern for others is paramount.
