Welcome to the School Dinners Page

We offer the children the option of either a hot school meal, which is produced off site by a local East Riding Primary School, meeting the LEA’s very high nutritional standards, or a packed lunch.

We try to encourage the children to have a hot dinner but If your child would like to alternate between school dinners and a packed lunch, then they are able to choose weekly, from menus sent home. Alternatively, your child is able to opt for a packed lunch option. All our children sit together for lunch, there are no split sittings or segregation of school dinners and packed lunches. This is their social time!

Lunchtimes are another opportunity for children to be rewarded, with stickers for healthy eating, good behaviour, eating all their lunch, being given as an incentive by our lunchtime team.

Children chosen by the lunchtime supervisers may be eligible for a lunchtime certificate presented in the celebration assembly on Fridays. Their name may also appear on the weekly newsletter.

Have a look at an example school menu by clicking on the menu pdf file to the right. You'll see a terms worth of lunchtime meals listed showing how your child can get a varied and balanced diet.
